These kebab rolls are such a fun and easy way to make kebab at home. They’re made by spreading a flavourful beef mixture onto tortillas, rolling them up, slicing, and baking until golden, then serving them over a creamy yogurt tahini sauce.

Ingredients

  • For the Kebab Rolls

  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 tbsp Turkish pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 red pepper, finely chopped
  • 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bunch parsley, finely chopped
  • Large tortillas
  • Yogurt Tahini Sauce

  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 1/2 cup tahini paste
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/2 tbsp salt
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic

Instructions

  1. Make the beef mixture
    In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, Turkish pepper flakes, salt, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, finely chopped red pepper, white onion, and parsley. Mix until everything is evenly combined.
  2. Assemble the rolls
    Lay a large tortilla flat and spread a thin layer of the beef mixture all over the surface.
  3. Roll and slice
    Roll the tortilla up tightly, then cut it into about 1-inch pieces.
  4. Skewer the pieces
    Thread the sliced pieces onto skewers. Repeat until all of the meat mixture is used.
  5. Bake
    Preheat the oven to 400°F. Place the skewers on a baking tray and bake for 30 minutes, flipping halfway through. Broil at the end if needed for extra colour.
  6. Make the sauce
    While the kebab rolls bake, mix together the yogurt, tahini paste, lemon juice, salt, and minced garlic until smooth and creamy.
  7. Serve
    Spread the yogurt tahini sauce onto a plate, then place the cooked kebab rolls on top and serve.
