Crispy Chicken Tacos
These crispy chicken tacos are packed with juicy seasoned chicken, melty mozzarella, and fresh homemade pico de gallo. Pan-fried until golden and crispy, they’re such an easy meal and always so good with a squeeze of lime on top.

Ingredients(serves 3)
For the Chicken
- 1 pound chicken breast, cut into small cubes
- 2 tsp paprika
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp olive oil
For the Pico de Gallo
- 1 tomato, chopped
- 1/2 white onion, finely chopped
- A bunch of cilantro, chopped
- 1 jalapeño, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- Juice of 1 lemon
For Assembling
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- Tortillas
- Mozzarella cheese
- Lime wedges, for serving
Instructions
- Season the chicken
In a bowl, combine the cubed chicken with paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and 1 teaspoon of olive oil. Mix well until the chicken is evenly coated. - Make the pico de gallo
In another bowl, combine the chopped tomato, white onion, cilantro, jalapeño, salt, and lemon juice. Mix everything together and set aside. - Cook the chicken
Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chicken and cook until fully cooked through and lightly golden. Remove from the pan and set aside. - Assemble the tacos
In the same pan, place a tortilla down and sprinkle mozzarella cheese over one side. Add some of the cooked chicken on top of the cheese, then fold the tortilla in half. - Cook until crispy
Cook the taco over medium-low heat until the tortilla is crispy and golden on one side, then flip and cook the other side until crispy and the cheese has melted. - Serve
Serve the tacos warm with pico de gallo, extra lime, and enjoy.
