Why I Started Simply by Maha

I started Simply by Maha because I was tired of recipes that felt like they were written for someone else.

The kind that assume you have a stand mixer, three hours, and access to seventeen specialty ingredients. The kind where the beautiful photos look nothing like what comes out of your oven.

Food as care

I grew up in a house where food was central. Not fancy food — real food. The kind you make on a Tuesday after work. The kind you bring to someone when they are having a hard week. The kind that tastes like someone cares.

That is what I want to share here. Recipes that work on a weeknight. Techniques that transfer to other dishes. Honest instructions and honest photos.

Simple is generous

Simple does not mean boring. It means you can actually make it. It means you will make it again. And when you are cooking for people you love, that matters more than anything else.
