I started Simply by Maha because food has always meant more to me than just something to eat.
I grew up with Middle Eastern cuisine at the center of everything. Food was part of how we gathered, how we showed love, and how we took care of each other. Some of my best memories are tied to the kitchen — the smells, the flavours, the little details, and the way a homemade meal could bring everyone together.
That love of food stayed with me. I’ve always loved cooking for people, feeding people, and making dishes that feel comforting, exciting, and worth coming back to. To me, food is one of the simplest and strongest ways to show love.
That’s why I created Simply by Maha. I wanted a space to share recipes that feel approachable, full of flavour, and made for real life. Recipes you can make on a weeknight, for a gathering, or just because you want to make something good for the people around you.
Simple food doesn’t mean boring food. It means food that people will actually make, actually enjoy, and actually share. And to me, that’s what makes it special.
